Sudokkho organised two separate employers’ linkage meetings between its two partners and relevant industry employers on 26 and 27 October 2016. The first meeting took place in Montage Training and Certification (MTC) on 26 October and the second in Mirpur Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) on 27 October. These employment linkage meetings focused on bridging the gap between the industries and private training providers (PTP).
A linkage between the employers and the training partners would help meet the demand of employing skilled workforce in the industry. In the meeting, the quality of training provided by the private training partners with the help of Sudokkho has been highlighted. Equally the industries need to participate in such trainings by providing training materials in-kind for a sustainable collaboration and commitment. The employers also have the opportunity to refer unskilled people to PTPs to attain right skill through training and provide supervision for final assessment as well as take special classes for ensuring industry standard training has been provided.
Both instructors and trainees will get the chance to visit relevant industries to get an insight of the real work environment. In addition, the employers will arrange practical classes in their industries twice a month. They further committed for job placements of the graduate trainees.
Mr Fakrul Amin, principal of Montage Training and Certification chaired the meeting held on 26 October at their training centre venue. From Sudokkho, its deputy team leader Mr Suresh Mahto, manager of PTP-led Training, Mr Belayet Hossain and project officer Mr Tareqe Aziz participated and shared their opinions.
